Westfield State College (also known as "Westate" or "Westfield") is a comprehensive, coeducational, four-year public college. The college has Criminal Justice and Education Programs. The school's mascot is an owl named "Nestor" and its colors are blue and white. Juniper Park Elementary School, where education majors may teach as part of the curriculum, is located on campus. The campus is located at 577 Western Avenue, in Westfield, Massachusetts, about 20 minutes from Springfield.
