The University of New Mexico (UNM) is a state university located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. It is the state's flagship research institution. It is the largest post-secondary institution in the state in terms of total enrollment across all campuses as of 2009, as well as one of the state's largest employers. Founded in 1889, it offers bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and professional degree programs in a wide variety of fields. Its Albuquerque campus currently encompasses over 600 acres (2.4 km²), and there are branch campuses in Gallup, Los Alamos, Rio Rancho, Taos, and in Valencia County.

Perceptions held by parents that one’s child is highly vulnerable to illness, injury, and/or death Many have discussed the risk of PPCV among parents of children born preterm Are parents of children born preterm more vulnerable to PPCV? Few studies comparing preterm versus full-term Findings are mixed (Perrin et al., 1989; Stern et al., 2004) Although warranted & potentially adaptive at first, the continuation of PPCV after a child is considered healthy may be maladaptive Stern et al., 2006→no significant difference btw preterm & full term scores at 5 mos Perrin et al., 1989 →28% of mothers of healthy preschoolers born preterm had scores that were 1SD below the mean compared to 3% in the healthy preschoolers born full-term
