(The University of Montana System)

The University of Montana System was created on July 1, 1994, when the Montana Board of Regents of Higher Education restructured the state's colleges and universities into two umbrella universities, Montana State University System and the University of Montana System. Each of these two subsystems has campuses in four cities, with a university President at the main campus, and Chancellors at each of the three smaller units. The main campus gives administrative and library assistance to the three smaller units, but each unit sets its own curriculum with Board of Regents approval.

E X P E R I E N C E Y O U R A M E R I C A Invasive Species Lake trout in Yellowstone Lake reducing native cutthroat trout Existing Lake Trout eradication not adequate to seriously reduce population Park has begun internal scoping for an EA which will address fisheries management park-wide. Focus on increasing netting/trapping of lake trout, rehabilitation of stream habitat, and possible changes to fishing regulations Eradication of lake trout has been on-going since the mid 1990’s Eradication efforts have grown increasingly effective in terms of catch – yet overall population number of cut throat trout are not improving New efforts will essentially be a “surge” of existing eradication efforts with a broader focus on the overall health of the aquatic system

Attributions: both internal/external and temporary/stable This piece does a good job of explaining the complexity of communication and why it is so hard at times to solve conflict (can’t simply follow a few applied rules and make it all work).
