The University of Greenwich

The University of Greenwich is a British university located in the London Borough of Greenwich, London, England and was founded in 1890. The main campus is the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College: the centre piece of the Maritime Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site. The University of Greenwich provides students and researchers with a great campus atmosphere: The royal courts at Maritime Greenwich, the Victorian library in Eltham and the ivy clad buildings at Medway. The University of Greenwich benefits from a stunning campus environment, rivalling the spires of Oxford ; the prestigious old Royal Naval College on the Greenwich waterfront, yet well connected to central London by underground and train services.

CAMEL Communities of Practice: Tacit knowledge - reflections

We know more than we can tell (Polanyi, 1962) If we want to find out whether what we know and do is effective, or indeed if we want to test knowledge, then we need a way to draw upon the tacit as well as explicit nature of that knowledge. Research…. should draw upon the wealth of professional knowledge that resides within the people who work in the sector. Hillier and Jameson (2003) Empowering Researchers in FE.
