What: “Tailored” JECC Joint Planner’s Course Where: JFCOM JWFC (Suffolk, VA) When: 10-22 May 10 (travel days are 9 and 23 May) Who Attends: JECC can accept up to 40 USSOUTHCOM military and government civilian Directorate or Special Staff personnel who: Serve as primary planning and ops (current and future) personnel with deliberate and crisis action planning responsibilities Serve on the SJFHQ Serve as command primary OPT leads or members Serve on command board, centers, and cells Will be assigned to USSOUTHCOM through Apr 2011 Have not previously attended the JECC Planner’s Course Why: Sharpen joint planning skills to better conduct crisis operations as we transition to the revised J-Code structure and prepare for Hurricane Season Deliverables (SJS Task to follow): Each J Code Director identify attendees NLT 27 Apr – Directors and Special Staff submit names of attendees to J7/SJS NLT 30 Apr – Attendees Register in JEMIS and begin TAD preparations Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) Planner’s Course Goal: All Directorates and Special Staffs send personnel to be trained as Joint Planners Assumptions: Government civilian personnel will be compensated for Overtime; TDY and per diem costs will be borne by sponsoring directorates and special staff
