Electronically Scanned Television Invention I: Electronic Scanning The history of television has been obscured due to the Cold War. The earliest published accounts of its technological emergence were written from the mid-1930s to the mid-1950s and there are clashing accounts in so far as the origin of television. In 1907, a Russian, Boris L’vovitch Rozing, had patented in London as well as in Berlin and St. Petersburgh an all-electrical television cathode ray tube receiver. This is the invention that was to prevail three decades later.

Wireless Telegraphy Hertz had conducted a series of experiments between 1868 and 1886 to demonstrate the existence of Maxwellian electromagnetic waves. He built a spark transmitter and a spark gap detector. In the transmitter, two rods with a small ball at one end and a large plate or ball at the other were connected to the terminals of a sparking coil. A spark was created which jumped the gap between the two smaller balls creating an oscillating current. The current produced electric and magnetic fields causing radio rave emission. The detecting device was a circular or square shape with a small break in it.
