Oregon Institute of Technology, also known as Oregon Tech or OIT, is an accredited university in the Oregon University System, and the only public institute of technology in the northwest United States. Located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, it provides undergraduate and graduate degrees in many technical and health related fields. OIT also maintains four sites in Portland, Oregon, one site in La Grande, Oregon and a partner location with Boeing in Seattle, Washington.

Senior Project Requirements Must be three tier--client, mid tier, dbase As part of the first requirement...must use some method of remoting As part of the first requirement...client should not directly access the dbase Dbase cannot be access...sqlserver, oracle, mysql, etc Must have a C++ component Must use XML somewhere Learn something new is strongly encouraged. Intermediate demos may demonstrate remoting on the same machine, final demo must demonstrate remoting across machines or across virtual machines. (use of virtual machines, such as vmware, makes things much easier but it’s not a requirement.)   Final demo must also include an install disk. Deployment of distributed systems is actually a big topic all by itself. Final presentation must include a poster presentation and a final paper (white paper)
