Jyväskylän yliopisto (The University of Jyväskylä)

Jyväskylän yliopisto on Jyväskylässä sijaitseva suomalainen yliopisto, jossa on yli 16 000 opiskelijaa ja henkilökuntaa noin 2 500. Vuonna 2008 Jyväskylän yliopistosta valmistui ennätykselliset 2100 maisteria ja 117 tohtoria. Kesän 2008 perushaussa yliopistoon hakeneiden määrä oli yli 11 600, joista hyväksyttyjä oli runsaat 1 600. Kaikki perusopiskelijat kuuluvat Jyväskylän yliopiston ylioppilaskuntaan. Vuosi 2009 on yliopiston 75-vuotisjuhlavuosi.
The University of Jyväskylä is a university in Jyväskylä, Finland. It has its origins in the first Finnish-speaking teacher training college (the so-called Teacher Seminary), founded in 1863. Around 16,000 students are currently enrolled in the degree programs of the university. It is ranked as the second largest university in Finland when measured according to the number of Master’s degrees conferred.
