Ferris State University

Ferris State University (FSU, Ferris) is a public university with its main campus in Big Rapids, Michigan USA. Founded in 1884 as the Big Rapids Industrial School by Woodbridge Nathan Ferris, an educator from New England who later served as governor of the State of Michigan and finally in the US Senate where he remained until his death in 1928. The school was noteworthy at its time for accepting female students beginning with its first graduating class. It is also the only public university in Michigan to be founded by an individual.

Simple Harmonic Motion

Simple Harmonic Motion

This type of motion is the most pervasive motion in the universe. All atoms oscillate under harmonic motion. We can model this motion with a linear restoring force.

Design the garden

Design the garden

A rain garden is an area in your yard planted with native plants that collects water run-off from your roof, driveway or other hard surfaces. I t acts as an infiltration system that keeps our water out of the storm water system, re-charging the ground water. Rain gardens reduce the amount of storm water that ends up in our streams and lakes, and helps to improve water quality by filtering through plants and the soil.
