Crash Mesh Generation Using HyperMesh

Crash Mesh Generation Using HyperMesh

Background Research examining the impact of LTMCs on working life is sparse (Munir, Leka & Griffiths, 2003). This study explored the impact of working/learning with a LTMC and expectations about attending a self-management course (Expert Patients Programme (EPP)) delivered in the workplace. Results presented here are from a wider study that tracks participants’ journeys beyond their experience of the EPP. Working and Learning with a Long-Term Medical Condition Stapley, J., Ellard, D. & Barlow J Results Managing Feelings of control over managing LTMCs varied from day to day and depended on the severity of symptoms presented. “When I’m feeling okay I think, yeah I can cope with it. When I’m feeling poorly, then I’ll say ‘I can’t cope with this anymore’. Participants felt that a greater degree of ‘planning’ was required in daily activities at work/study in order to manage their LTMC. “Making sure I'm on top of things. I find it difficult to cope with unexpected…the more planned with things I am, the better” Staff spoke of a ‘lack of provision’ and ‘burden’ on other colleagues if they were to take sick leave and a general theme emerged regarding the sensitive nature of disclosure within the workplace or institution of study. “We manage on the good will of everybody else basically. And that’s how we tend to manage. We don’t have provisions here for covering people” “If you’re not doing that piece of work then someone still has to. It could work against you wi...

Chromakey / Mattes

Chromakey / Mattes

Keying – selectively removing a colour in a top layer image to let the layer below show through. Simplest form = ‘chromakey’ – designated colour (or colour range) is removed. Sophisticated versions: Mattes (rotoscoped ‘masks’ over each frame) – we can use the computer to automate some of this detailed work. Alpha masks – many 3D programmes will render a colour object and a perfect ‘mask/matte’ at the same time.
