Copenhagen Business School blev oprettet som privat institution i 1917 af Foreningen til Unge Handelsmænds Uddannelse (FUHU). Handelshøjskolen blev i 1965 en del af det nationale uddannelsessystem og reguleres i dag af Universitetsloven fra 2003. CBS' øverste leder er rektor, der er ansat af en bestyrelse med eksternt flertal.
Copenhagen Business School, also known as CBS, is one of the three largest business schools in Northern Europe and is situated in Copenhagen, Denmark. The business school is situated in Frederiksberg municipality. CBS has approximately 16,000 students and researchers and each year welcomes more than 1,500 exchange students. CBS graduates find employment in both the private and the public sector.

Hoffman Holcim (US) Professor of Sustainable Enterprise Co-Director, Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise University of Michigan PRME/CBS Copenhagen November 23, 2009 The Business Implications of Climate Change If you’re looking for proof that climate change is happening, stop looking for receding glaciers and start look at the changing marketplace. This report shows that, for the business community, climate change represents an impending market transition – one that will both alter existing markets and create new ones. As in any market transition there are risks and opportunities and there will be winners and losers. The companies in this report believe a proactive approach is necessary to prepare for coming market shifts and that doing nothing means missing myriad near-term financial opportunities and setting themselves up for long-term political, operational, and financial challenges. And the report itself is an analysis of how they are doing that. This report is primarily a “how to” manual for other companies interested in developing similar strategies. But the report will also be of value to investors and analysts in evaluating the effectiveness of company strategies for managing climate risk and capturing climate-related competitive advantage. Finally, it will offer policymakers insight into corporate views on greenhouse gas regulation, government assistance for technology advancement, and other policy approaches. In my remarks, I will highlight how the report was created, and describe what it says about why and how these companies are taking action. This presentation is about a historical analysis and contemporary evaluation of the debate and practice of corporate social and environmental responsibility (CSER) in Argentina. We identified key trends that have characterised the evolution of ideas about the role of business in society in Argentina and provide explanations for those trends based on a reading of the political, economic and social context in which they took place.
