جامعة الملك فيصل تأسست في سنة 1975 م أي نفس العام الذي استشهاد فيه الملك فيصل بن عبد العزيز والذي أوصى بإنشاء جامعة في المنطقة الشرقية، وتم إفتاح الجامعة في عهد أخيه الملك خالد بن عبد العزيز ،هذاوتوفرالجامعة لطلابها التعليم الجامعي والدراسات العليا في مختلف العلوم ومجالات المعرفة المتخصصة والبحث العلمي.
King Faisal University is a public university with campuses in Al-Hassa (the main campus) and Dammam, Saudi Arabia founded in 1975. The university is best known for its medical program, although engineering and other majors are offered as well. The teaching hospital, the King Fahd University Hospital, is in Khobar, although a newer hospital is currently under construction near the main campus of the university.
