Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: Awaken God’s people. Disaster is coming. It is near at our very door. Watchmen are being awakened and told to go blow trumpets and sound this alarm
let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand, We must fear God again and prepare to stand before the Son of Man
A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, There is a famine of the WORD OF GOD. There is spiritual darkness on the land The Great Falling Away
as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; Apostasy is brought by the enemy. This is God sent deception and is the fog of religion. Within this fog the enemy hides and performs its work. These great people are The powers of darkness
there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations These people, this army, is the powers of darkness
A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them Bent on destruction, “they” bring God’s vengeance for His temple and are the abomination that causes desolation
The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run These spirits ride horses which represent religion that walks after the flesh. Man’s assemblies, religion, the fortified towers of Babylon are full of horses my friends
Isaiah 31:1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on HORSES, and trust in CHARIOTS, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
Cursed is the one who trusts in the flesh and the wisdom of men. The enemy ride horses and bring many chariots of false doctrines
Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap
Chariots are doctrines, false ones that completely overtake and cover man’s “mountains” of religion
like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array God sends this army to burn up the chaff and branches cut off from the vine of Christ
Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness The illusion of peace and safety will turn suddenly and they will not escape. Many will say Lord Lord, didn’t we …………
They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war The white washed walls of man’s church are no defense for this mighty army sent by God
and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: The thief has but one mission and that is to kill, steal and destroy
Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded United in their mission they do not fail to bring judgment
