Please observe that no one has uploaded anything to the SlideFinder index. SlideFinder is a search engine that crawls the Internet for Microsoft PowerPoint presentations. If you find content that belongs to you it is because you have allowed us and other search engines to do so. Furthermore, if you find your presentation in our index you can be sure to find it cached on Google as well.

To prevent indexing of confidential content
As a site owner, you control what content of your site is indexed in search engines. If you have pages or other content that you don't want to appear in search results, you have a number of options.
Save your confidential content in a password-protected directory on your server.
This is the simplest and most effective way to prevent content on your site to be indexed by search engines.
Use a robots.txt file to control access to files and directories on your server.
The robots.txt file tells crawlers which files and directories on your server should not be crawled. It’s important to note that even if you use a robots.txt file, content could still be indexed in other ways, for example by other sites linking to it. In addition, while respectable crawlers will respect the directives in a robots.txt file, it is not enforceable and some spammers and troublemakers may ignore it. For this reason, it is recommended to password-protect confidential content.

What if confidential content has already been indexed?
The quickest way of removing content from the SlideFinder index is to actually remove it from your own site. The SlideFinder Crawler will automatically re-crawl your site and remove any content that no longer exists.
You can also, as above, add a robots.txt file stating that you wish certain files to not be indexed by search engines.
In rare cases we will manually remove content from the index. Please use our contact form to do so. You will also need to verify that you are the author of the content you wish removed before any actions will be taken.
