Our first November update is now out and contains a minor list of of improvments.
By order of appearance:
- Web page compression
- All pages are now compressed to improve the time it takes to transfer a page to the user. Users in Europe and the US may not see a difference but hopefully users over in Asia and down-under will see an improved page generation.
- Embed functionality
- Till now you have only been able to link to presentations that you have found on SlideFinder. As of today you can also embed a presentation within your own website or blog. See below for an example.
- Faster searches
- We have made some improvments to the search engine that should show up to 13 seconds improvments in special cases.
- Diminished space between slides and increased right column

The Crabby Office Lady has written a nice article that demystifies various PowerPoint terms.
Microsoft Office PowerPoint is one flexible, useful program. And it's fun to use, too. But does one mention of a slide master or a design template have you fleeing the room? Learn some of the basic terms for PowerPoint and don't be scared off again.
These are the terms she covers:
- Slide
- Layout
- Placeholders
- Design template
- Theme
- Slide master
- Photo album
- Embedded and linked files
- Transitions
- Action buttons
Here's how to get to the article: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA102341441033.aspx

We are happy to announce that Hindi has been added as an interface language to the search engine. We would like to express our thanks to Ajit Sheth and his wife Jyoti Sheth.
An upgrade to the Polish interface has been made where some parts of the translation were not optimal.
We will be coming out with some new exiting features, planned for November so please keep your eyes opened.

Along side the increased South Korean traffic we are also seeing an increase in traffic from Japan, and Japanese presentation indexing will therefore also be a priority.

We are happy to see a dramatic increase of visitors coming from South Korea. We are therefore working on indexing presentations from South Korea from now on. We still do not have a working interface in Korean so if someone feels like doing a quick translation you are welcome to contact us here.
