Updated first page - Presentations grouped by language

by Christer 28. November 2009 20:52

We have done a minor update to the first page. SlideFinder has indexed presentations in 23 languages so far and these can now be reached from the first page. The presentations are thus grouped by languages and sorted by date of index.

Hindi interface available and more

by Christer 18. October 2009 20:31

We are happy to announce that Hindi has been added as an interface language to the search engine. We would like to express our thanks to Ajit Sheth and his wife Jyoti Sheth.

An upgrade to the Polish interface has been made where some parts of the translation were not optimal.

We will be coming out with some new exiting features, planned for November so please keep your eyes opened.

Korean support

by Christer 24. July 2009 12:14

We are happy to see a dramatic increase of visitors coming from South Korea. We are therefore working on indexing presentations from South Korea from now on. We still do not have a working interface in Korean so if someone feels like doing a quick translation you are welcome to contact us here.

We are now supporting English, Swedish, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. I would like to extend our thanks to Akane for her great translation. Akane lives in Sweden and writes about Scandinavia for the japanese population back in Japan. Please visit her website and blog.

Language support in SlideFinder

by Christer 12. June 2009 20:28

In order to support as many users as possible, a number of language translations have been done. We currently support English, French, German, Spanish, Russian and of course Swedish. Translating SlideFinder into Swedish was perhaps more of a test than in antisipation of reaching a larger user population. Of course, since we are Swedes we figured it be a good test.

Currently the language interface is based on your browser settings but eventually we'll be enabling you to choose on your own. The problem when you start translating is that once you've started, you have to keep doing it for every little change you do. With that said, we have set our goals high and aim to keep it at that level.

If you should feel an urge to contribute with your own language, you are welcome to drop us a line.
